Agroscope Changins-Wädenswil Research Station (FDEA-ACW), Switzerland


Agroscope Changins-Wädenswil (FDEA-ACW) is one of three public agricultural research institutes that are gathered under the name Agroscope. It belongs to the Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) and prepares the technical and scientific bases for an efficient, sustainable and competitive agriculture. Areas of study include field crops, pastures, viticulture, arboriculture, horticulture, berries, aromatic and medicinal herbs, quality and safety as well as processing and storage of plant food. It is also charged with carrying out relevant tasks required by law (i.e. pesticide authorisation).

FDEA-ACW serves the general public as well as agricultural professionals and fulfils administration and government policy requirements. It aims to support a competitive Swiss agriculture that can produce high-quality food in an ecologically sustainable manner.

FDEA-ACW is a participant in Work area 4 (Conceptualise improved dialogue)  and 5 (develop toolbox).
