Wageningen University and Research Centre (Wageningen UR) is a collaboration between Wageningen University, Van Hall Larenstein (University of Applied Sciences) and specialised research institutes (DLO) from the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture. Wageningen UR works on gaining knowledge that helps us to create safe, and healthy food, which is also produced sustainably.


Research in the Marketing and Consumer Behaviour Group aims to contribute to scientific knowledge of consumer and citizen behaviour, relevant to the policy community and industry. Research in the Product Design and Quality Management Group aims to contribute to scientific knowledge on the use of technological and managerial skills as input for quantitative models of food quality attributes and to optimise food quality throughout the food chain.

WU is the leader in Work area 2 (Identify success factors).
